So this Fall is very special to me because it is the first time I am living on my own where I have total control of what decorations I have in my apartment. Seeing that I just moved and I don’t have any furniture, I didn’t want to spend too much money on Fall candles or decor. I did find a way to make my home feel like Fall with some affordable candles and some DIY Dollar Tree decor. It isn’t much, but it makes this place feel more like home…and fall (since I live in Florida)

Are you sick of the Fall posts yet? I am not apologizing, I am obsessed with Fall and especially Fall candles! Haha. Welcome back! If you are new to my blog, thank you for stopping by! Make sure you subscribe to keep up with the latest posts. You should also follow me on Twitter and Instagram where I show you behind the scenes and sneak peaks of upcoming fall posts.

Fall Candles

I love Bath and Body Works’ Fall Candles! Even though they have amazing deals on their candles and their quality is out of this world, sometimes I can’t afford to pay so much for a candle. Until then, I was on the hunt to stock up on some affordable Fall candles for this season that were at least close in quality and packaging as B&BW candles. Once again, I was strolling through Wal-Mart, in the air freshener/laundry detergent section, and my eyes fell on these Fall candles! First of all, they were under $5 bucks. Second, the packaging and photography looks just like a  knock off version of B&BW candles. Third, they were three wick candles and they smelled great! So I had to grab them!

719 Walnut Ave| Affordable Fall Candles

The brand of the Fall candles that I found in Wal-Mart is 719 Walnut Ave. Like how cute is the brand name? I couldn’t let it just sit there! The scents that I picked up were Rustic Lake House and Mahogany Driftwood. I am 100% sure that both of these Fall candles could be dupes of 1 of the Fall collection B&BW candles. I wish I knew which ones. If you guys pick these up from Wal-Mart, let me know which candle they smell similar to at B&BW!

Mahogany Driftwood has notes of mahogany, cedar woods, and light florals.

Rustic Lake House has notes of cedar, citrus, and green moss.

Mmmmm! I am in Fall heaven!

DIY Dollar Tree Decor for Candles

So like I mentioned earlier, I don’t have any furniture in my apartment just yet and I don’t want to spend too much money on any decor as of now. I wanted to turn my bar into a Fall playground! I made my way over to my local Dollar Tree (where every freaking thing is $1!!!) to pick up some decorations. Some decorations I already had from a previous year (the pumpkins). I decided I wanted to place my Fall candles on some sort of tray and display festive leaves and pumpkins around the candles.

What You Will Need:

  • A bag of fake autumn leaves
  • silver metal decorative pan(or plate)
  • pumpkins (bought last year)

I also had some spray paint that I used to paint the silver metal pan gold to go with the rest of the decor/colors I will have in my apartment. This whole project only cost me $3…if you include the candles, only under $15!

Final Outcome

If you guys want to decorate for Fall, you don’t need to go all out (I wish I could haha). You can get small stuff from the Dollar Tree and literally Do it yourself! I want to see what decorations you have up for Fall. Comment down below if you decorate your place for Fall. If you do, send me pictures on Twitter or Instagram! Thank you! Talk to you all in my next post!
